Color Experts at Downtown Design 2016 – Design Week will allow interior designers, architects and design experts to expose their work and get in contact with different styles in order to create an impressive innovation in this field.

We all know that 2016 is the year of minimalism and neutral color pallets. However, at My Design Agenda, we are big fans of creativity and combination of different colors. For that reason, we want to show you why it’s not “uncool” to use mixtures of different tones to create unique, artistic designs, taking as example the work of some of our favorite interior designers at Downtown Design 2016.

De Casteli was quickly identified as a company that introduced design, developing it with iron and managing to combine its beloved craft tradition with the latest technology. The project above is De Casteli‘s first flagship store in Milan. An unique space in the capital of Italian Design with an extensive line of materials, library of metals and new color finishes. Their unique quality from the change in scale and the application of unusual finishes, thanks to which they acquire a new aesthetic significance, generates an unexpected visual and emotional impact in any home decor.

L’Opificio is an interior design brand that focuses on delivering unique textiles that are created in high-quality materials and creative patterns. L’opificio is a universe of exclusive velvets and fabrics, designed and produced in Italy, combined with a rich collection of hand-sewn and first-rate tailoring textile home accent. Their pieces are extremely stunning and would liven up any space with its colorful tones.

The name Herman Miller became synonymous with “modern” furniture. Working with legendary designers George Nelson, Charles and Ray Eames, the company produces pieces that are classics of industrial design. Their projects are characterized by the use of colorful pieces in neutral environments, creating impressive images that inspire life and passion.

Kristalia was established in 1994 by young entrepreneurs from Friuli who share two great passions: design and jazz. The brand gives special attention to innovative design projects through experimentation and searching for new technical solutions, using materials borrowed from the fields of fashion and sport. Their projects are the definition of aesthetic and qualitative characteristics linked to innovation in Italian and international design.
