Philippe Malouin decided to start his own studio based on the idea of freedom to create whatever he pleases. Although Furniture design has been a huge part of his career, the studio also decorates spaces and creates art installations on larger scales. The experiment of materials and projects is what matters to the designer.

“as the world of design is changing, I think it’s best to be good at many different things.”

Like any other professional in the art industry, inspiration sometimes can be hard to find. Philippe Malouin‘s method is very effective. He gets inspired on anything, it can be the smallest detail on the sidewalk or even a peculiar bench in the nearest park, he takes photographs and happens to take notes everytime something might be used on his creations.
