The main idea of this event is to support French manufacturers to export, and foreign purchasers to get a concrete idea of what French Design actually represents. French Design is usually a combination of different influences and styles therefore, the audience cannot seem to define what is French Design. They can, for example, immediately recognize Italian, German and Scandinavian design. To recognize french manufacturers within an international scale is what  VIA executive director Jean-Paul Bath aims and brings to this concept.
