Meet André Fu – Designer of the Year for Maison&Objet Asia – Maison et Objet ASIA happens from March 08 to March 11, 2016 and My Design Agenda presents the Designer of the Year at the Asiatic Edition of the furniture show! Location: Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Center, Bayfront Avenue, 018956 Singapore.
MAISON&OBJET ASIA chose Singapore, a strategic hub for the Asean region, to provide uncommon visibility for companies wishing to access the exclusive territories of New Luxury. The city-state itself is the gateway to the future of the upscale art of living. It is an exceptional showcase and a growth driver for companies wishing to benefit from the tremendous opportunities offered by the ebullience of Asian economies.
André Fu graduated from the University of Cambridge and founded AFSO in the same year to create distinct projects. His design studio has since created a series of internationally recognized works in sensuous and unique projects.
With its head studio in Hong Kong, the firm lists clients such as Maybourne Hotel Group, Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, Shangri-La Hotels, Swire Hotels, Capella Hotels, Park Hyatt Hotels, restauranteur Alan Yau, Louis Vuitton, lifestyle retailer Lane Crawford, and gallerist Emmanuel Perrotin.
André Fu also has launched a new lifestyle brand – André Fu Living (AFL) – and its signature scent, Fargesia.
The Hong Kong-based architect, who has gained international acclaim for his design of The Upper House, has also been the creative force behind some of the world’s most luxurious hotels and restaurants.
Embracing the spirit of “lifestyle from within”, Fu forays into a world that goes beyond his spatial creations. His brand will feature a collection of key design pieces conceived from collaborations with unique artisans hand-picked by Fu.
The first product to be launched is Fargesia, an eau de toilette created in collaboration with renowned perfumer Julian Bedel of Fueguia 1833 Patagonia. Fargesia is a unisex scent suitable for the room as well as the body.
