The company was established in 1911 as Fredericia Stolefabrik (Fredericia Chair Factory), by entrepreneur N. P. Ravnsø. From its beginning, the company wanted to be known for having only products of an an extremely high quality, so only the most skilled craftsmen worked for the company– something that quickly lead Fredericia Stolefabrik to become known for its high quality furniture in different styles.

The collection of Fredericia includes chairs&stools, benches, lounge seating, tables and small furniture. The company aim is to create contemporary interior design pieces that are always amazingly crafted, relevant and intriguing by their originality and beauty!
The brand has collaborations with international designers, all known for their design integrity. ‘I want to reinstate everyday forms, simple and accurate’- Auélien Barbry, designer of the ‘Barbry Collection’
The Barbry Collection is a series of barstools and side tables. The pieces are created from sections of bended steel frames in three sizes, that are combined to form the bases. Consequently, in the barstool footrests of different heights are created where two frames meet. Then, by combining frames of identical size, the design concept is continued to create bases for sides tables of different heights.
