Paris Design Week will be back from the 3rd to 10th of September, bringing 300 participating spaces in five neighborhoods and six thematic itineraries. We’ve selected Electrorama as the main highlight of this week, because, since it was born in 1965, is a great reference for lighting design and responsible for launching brands that became famous world wide, like Artemide and Flos. Now they still carry on supporting younger designers and new born design companies. Let’s see a selection of 5 collections to be presented this year’s edition.

Cini & Nils | Acqua

Acqua is a luminous cascade that creates an evocative pattern of lights and shades. The uplight version provides indirect light for an extraordinary polish atmosphere in living spaces, showrooms, hotels and restaurants. The downlight version directs the light on the underlying space and for this reason it is perfect for the over-table solution.

Vibia | Mayfair

The Mayfair lamps are a Diego Fortunato design proposal. The lamp is a re-imagining of the hanging lamps traditionally used over billiards tables. An innovative and fresh approach to lighting. The entire Mayfair collection incorporates LED lighting and comes in various finishes: white, black, gold, and copper.

Tom Dixon | Curve

Is it a satellite, or is it an Art Deco sculpture? Neither actually. It is a new curved geometrical light that pushes the boundaries of thin sheet etched metal fabrication. With its microscopic precision-pierced surface and soft nickel silver coating Curve internally reflects and emits a filtered glow of ethereal light.

Fabbian | Pivot

Designed by Vittorio Massimo, the Pivot lamp has a solid base with four vertical elements that are flexible and allow the creation of infinite lighting facets. The lamp therefore produces a “rectangle” shape that projects an indirect, but dynamic illumination on the wall. Pivot is of minimalist design, and can to be pointed in the desired direction where needed.
