Since the beginning, MAISON ET OBJET PARIS 2017 has been involved in helping new designers.

RISING TALENTS AWARDS, part of Maison et Objet Paris 2017, takes place twice per year and consists in showing and promoting enthusiast fresh designers and their new and catchy ideas in terms of interior design and not only. The winners have the opportunity to have a stand and exhibit their products.

RISING TALENTS AWARDS takes place in every edition, in January are announced international designers, whereas September season is dedicated for the French ones.

So, who are the new talents for this edition of Maison et Objet Paris 2017?

Claire Lavabre graduted ENSCI – Les Ateliers (2012) and has an remarkable background. She is a designer and a photographer and has worked for important designers. After, she opened her own studio to project her own interior and object design projects. She is notably passionate about mirrors, lights and frames.

Alexandre Échasseriau has graduated with great honors industrial design at ENSCI – Les Ateliers. His particular approach on creating streamlined objects, combining materials, technologies and little-known or emerging techniques has brought him the Audi Talents Award in 2014, in the design category. In September 2016 he opened CRAFTER STUDIO, his work varying from industrial design to prototyping and miniature devices for research centers.

Julien Phedyaeff & Christopher Santerre are graduates of ENSCI – Les Ateliers (2014) and share a common vision on different consumption behaviours, which helped them to reinvent ordinary pieces from our lives. In 2015 they established L’Increvable SAS, a business for home appliances where they design sustainable, repairable and modular products.

Luce Couillet finished textile design at ENSCI – Les Ateliers in Paris. She established Matières Ouvertes, a research workshop. In 2012 she won City of Paris’s Grand Prize for Creativity, for the design category. This year she joined Parisian showroom DINES in order to create a textile laboratory for interior designers and architects.

Lysandre Graebling studied fashion and after textile design at ENSCI – Les Ateliers. she co-established TohuBohu, a textile design studio, with Lucile Bonnaud. TohuBohu work with various brands in developing unique patterns.

Samy Rio, another graduate of ENSCI – Les Ateliers in Paris, studied industrial design. He won the Grand Prize Design Parade 10 and two residencies at CIRVA in Marseille and the Cité de la Céramique in Sèvres, which helped him to start a collaboration with Galerie Kreo.

Raphaël Pluvinage & Marion Pinaffo, graduates of ENSCI – Les Ateliers, are independent designers. Marion work is inspired by folklore and Raphaël’s expertise is in today’s technological systems and their social, aesthetic and political problems.

Jean-Baptiste Fastrez studied at ENSCI – Les Ateliers. He created his studio for exploring hybridisation through creations that combine pioneering technologies and artisanal know-how. He won important prices and some of the pieces of his collection are part of the Pompidou Centre and the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris.

Once more, MAISON&OBJET PARIS demonstrates that one of its aim is to promote talent, creativity and high quality through the next generation of interior designers.
