One of the greatest design events in Europe, Salone del Mobile is now up and running, proving to be an important resource for Milan as the capital of design and culture. Salone del Mobile is the major point of innovation in the industry, and has set an example by being able to constantly innovate its content and the way it communicates with the world.

Only in Milan can designers and architects find a mixture of creativity and industrial capacity to interpret and represent it. For that reason the city was selected for an annual appointment with Salone, for all those seeking inspiration while also showcasing their creativity.

In its 56th edition, Salone del Mobile will open doors at the Fiera Milano exhibition in Rho, from 4th to 9th April, for a curated design exhibition that includes 5 secondary design events within it’s program. The event will be open to exhibitors from 9.30 to 6.30 everyday and to the general public on Saturday and Sunday.

Salone del Mobile 2017 contains a vast world of home furnishings that are strictly segmented and organized around the pavilion. These are the events/sectors you may find: Salone Internazionale del Mobile, Furnishing Accessories Exhibition, Euroluce, Workplace3.0 and SaloneSatellite.

Following the successful launch of the last edition of xLux – the section devoted to timeless luxury reworked in a contemporary vein – the Salone Internazionale del Mobile has continued its updating activities and brought in an innovative format for classic furniture and furnishing accessories, in Pavilions 2 and 4 under a new name, Classic: Tradition in Future and with a more homogeneous, balanced and fluid layout.
Now into its 29th edition, Euroluce showcases the very best of what the lighting market has to offer, from decorative products to illumino technical products.
Workplace 3.0 now into its 18th edition – is based on an innovative concept built around design and technology for designing workspaces. An event that responds to the rapid change in the world of work and the latest market demands.
SaloneSatellite in Pavilions 22 and 24 with free public entry from Cargo 5 is an unmissable event. It brings together a selection of young designers from 5 continents with entrepreneurs, architects, interior designers and the press. The theme of the 20th edition is DESIGN is …? an open, topical and crucial question.

The exhibitors list is also something to be talking about, this year’s edition invited over 1300 international brands and a few names include Bensen, Agresti, Boca do Lobo and DeLightFull.
