Sleep 2016 Introduces New Features – Opening doors this 22 and 23 November, Sleep will invite leading UK and global Brands to exhibit the best trends in hotel design.
In an innovative environment, 2016’s edition will introduce new interior design projects through technological features that will bring the overall experience to a whole new level. Displaying an entirely new concept by Modulex that was inspired by the”sleepwalking” mode, Sleep will bring the sience of wayfinding into focus, informing and guiding visitors throughout the event so they don’t miss anything. Impressive designed intelligent solutions to disrupt unconscious behaviours and spark curiosity, reassuring visitors as they wend their way through Sleep’s myriad experiences.
2016 is the year of virtual reality and Sleep wouldn’t leave this behind. Visitors will have the chance to experience the latest digital reality platforms such as the HTC Vive, which allows people to walk around a virtual space using their own footsteps, and the newest, Oculus Rift Headset that enables users to experience a virtual reality in a 360 degrees field of view. This next-level technology is set to transform the design process, providing a critical stage between the drawing board and built space, enabling stakeholders to explore and analyse the solutions by real experiences with the products.
Sleep continues to support and engage the next generation of industry professionals with a fresh competition launched each year. This year, Sleep, partnering with University of West London, organized a competition between Hospitality Management students where they have to explore the entire product-development process, from identifying customer needs, design to product launch. An amazing initiative to promote the talents of young design professionals.
Introducing 35% new names and the most international line up ever seen, expect to see new design environments, cutting edge technology, amazing lighting designs and much more. Sleep will be a full design experience for participants, introducing the most innovative trends in hotel design.
