Tallest Building in the World May Be Hanged from an Asteroid

Clouds Architecture Office unveils futuristic architecture project that hangs from a comet. Take a look at the new tallest building in the world!

Architecture is a pretty interesting field, in my point of view. I mean it’s an outstanding way that transforms mere ideas, into materials and consequently, unique outstanding buildings. Although many designers are opting for minimal, simple architecture projects we still managed to see a few fun twists in the industry. For example, what if the new tallest building in the world could be hanged from a real Asteroid? You heard me.

The New York based studio Clouds Architecture Office, recently unveiled renderings of a new conceptual building design that would be attached to comets. The idea is to attach a high-strength cable to a large asteroid that could be placed into orbit over Earth, holding nothing more than a enormous skyscraper. And you thought Star Trek was too much.

The tower would be constructed over the city of skyscrapers – Dubai – and would orbit between North and South america on a daily loop. The project is called Analemma and consists of sustainable building that is powered by space-based solar panels, and filtered recycled water from rainwater and clouds. If we consider its height from the sky, the building would be not only the first flying skyscraper but the tallest one in the world.

This futuristic architecture project would contain a lower portion dedicated to offices and apartments, while the top portion would hold religious establishments or funerary services, according to Dezeen.

The windows of the building would need to be designed differently to compensate for atmospheric pressure. Oh the things you must take in consideration… I just hope it works!
