Visit Christopher Guy New Showroom at HPMK 2017

Visit Christopher Guy New Showroom at HPMK 2017 – Celebrating its 10th anniversary in stunning style, luxury furniture brand Christopher Guy opened a gorgeous, new two‐story showroom in the heart of High Point Market. Realizing one of founder Christopher Guy Harrison’s first visions for the brand, the building is an artful expression of the Christopher Guy aesthetic, and a dramatic showcase for its elegant, sensual, and sophisticated furnishings.

“When I launched Christopher Guy in 2007, I established two goals,” says Christopher. The first was to create products that had a certain Chanel‐esque spirit. Furthermore, I wanted to one day seek a location in the very heart of High Point, the epicenter of the US furniture industry. This year, we celebrate our 10th anniversary with the finished construction of our flagship store in High Point, which serves to greatly reinforce our brand’s image.”

“High Point is a pivotal global furniture market with widespread recognition as an international buyers’ destination,” Christopher says. “It is an honor for us to be able to add such a distinct building to the city’s skyline, where our company takes tremendous pride in its participation with this vibrant community of industry peers.”
“The showroom stands as the cornerstone for what we see as the creation of High Point’s very own Fifth Avenue, a natural expression of High Point Market’s position as the vital marketing and sales capital to the industry, rather than solely a manufacturing hub of times gone-by,” says Christopher. “Our vision was to add a little bit of Manhattan sparkle while keeping the elegance and tradition of this historic furniture market.”

One of the first companies to embrace the ‘clicks and mortar’ approach, Christopher Guy focuses on both the physical and digital expansion of its brand. As the new showroom sets the foundation for things to come in High Point, a new website – expected to launch later this year – offers a full e‐commerce capability for the Americas. In creating the connection between the on‐line and in‐person encounters with the brand, Christopher says the company seeks perfect consistency. “As customers step through the grand entrance of the new showroom, we want them to feel the spirit of the Christopher Guy brand. Then, we want that experience to be seamlessly extended when they log onto CG online from wherever they are.”

With the brand’s stunning new showcase in place, Christopher looks forward to his new product introductions for Fall Market. “Our fall selection includes an exquisite forged metal side table named Vallet, which features a single drawer with a metal handle and fine, slimline legs. Plus, we will introduce a delightful fan‐shaped table lamp, named Ventola. Designed as an adaptable lighting accessory and will fit well in any style or decor.”

Two new mirrors will also highlight the new season. Filigree is a delightful statement piece, in which an unevenly shaped mirror pane is surrounded by an intricate, hand carved filigree‐style frame. In Hiver, spindly bare winter branches radiate from a central convex pane, creating an enchanting form that makes an unusual and elegant statement. “We look forward to welcoming you to our showroom at Fall 2017 High Point Market,” says Christopher. “It is our hope that, here, you will be immersed in the spirit that inspires our brand, and that, as we continue working together, that spirit will be an inspiration to you.”
