In our opinion these are the 5 names that stand out in this year’s Elle Decor A-List!
Gladly every year Elle Decor takes the time to select the best interior designers in the market and shares with the world the ones that we should keep our eyes on throughout the year. Since at My Design Agenda we are always on the run for the latest talents we felt the need to talk about it.
This year’s Elle Decor A-List is very diversified in terms of styles, from the most classic to contemporary, these designers are pretty incredible in their own way. Some play with patterns, others are rather minimalist while some opt for a luxurious look.
After checking out the list, we selected 5 names that we thought to be the more inspiring for us. Take a look below.
What we particularly like about Celerie Kemble‘s work is that she doesn’t care about perfection. Her interior design balances the aesthetic integrity of the project adding a little bit of the client’s personality, and sometimes that can mean a loose woven fabric or a fun painting.
Miles Redd has a reputation for his quirky brand of cozy glamour. Redd is not afraid to be bold and daring in this world of minimal aesthetics, his interior design is characterized by playful combinations of colors and splashes of art. Taking inspiration from Richard Avedon fashion photographs and Rene Gruau illustrations, he crafts interiors that give a new approach to design infusing boldness, fantasy and sophistication.
Kelly Behun Studio is an interior design firm from New York that specializes in interiors, furniture and decorative acessories. They have a unique hands-on approach producing customized environments perfectly tailored to each client. The interiors they produce are often a combination between bespoke furnishings and inexpensive vintage finds. The best thing about their work is that the aesthetic relies more on a visual and emotional appeal than a particular design style.
Commune is a Los Angeles-based design studio with an outstanding reputation for holistic work across the fields of architecture, interior design, product design and even graphic design. They value collaboration, believing that creativity and innovation can only come with the strength of the collective mind. Commune is noted for its eclectic assemblages that work in harmony with their surroundings, while paying homage to historical, traditional, and international design.
Named “America’s Best Interior Designer” by CNN and Time Magazine, Sheila Bridges founded her own interior design firm in 1994. As Creative Director, Sheila has thoughtfully designed residences and offices for many prominent entertainers, entrepreneurs and business professionals including the 8,300 square foot Harlem offices for former President Bill Clinton and his staff. She works within a wide variety of styles, but contemporary is definitely her thing.
