Many wonderful cities all over the world will come alive hosting events and fairs regarding all the design world and, as always, becoming the perfect hub to explore new trends, discover new products or brands and connect with the best the field can offer. Workshop, seminars, competitions: every activity a design aficionado or a professional can dream of will be under your grasp. JUNE 2019 BEST DESIGN EVENTS
DESIGN DISTRICT
5-7 June
Rotterdam, Netherlands
Everything has been prepared in Van Nelle Factory, in the Netherlands, for the next fair: the best interior design trade event in the Netherlands! This 16th edition will see every professional assembling for the next trends in design with a special focus on furniture, lighting, sanitary, tiles, flooring, acoustic panels, fabrics and more. The specialty of the Design District is that special stands have been given to over 200 brands so that new products and tendencies will be easily screened by the visitors. Our advice: start preparing yourself!
JARDINS JARDINS
6-9 June
Paris, France
Jardins Jardins is the crossover event between gardens and interior design and this year’s theme has been chosen: “Vite, plus the jardins en ville”. Arrange your trip to the Jardin des Tuileries, for an event organized in partnership with the Louvre: with 30 installations, 100 expositions, 17 prototypes, and 8 design and architectural schools is going to be an interesting event for sure!
NEOCON
10-12 June
Chicago, USA
A key event since its launch in 1969, NeoCon represents the innovation hub for the commercial design industry: like every year, even this June will see The Mart becoming the central place in Chicago, where 500 leading companies and 50,000 industry experts will converge to get in touch with the innovative ideas that we will get to know in the future.
DESIGN MIAMI/BASEL
11 – 16 June
Basel, Switzerland
Renowned for being the global forum for design, every year top galleries from all over the world gather in Basel to display 20th and 21st-century furniture, lighting and objets d’art exhibitions. Not only a marketplace for design pieces but also a venue in which modern and contemporary design reach their purpose. The 2019 edition’s highlight will be the Design at Large exhibition entitled “Elements: Earth” that “aims to explore the role of design, materials and making in a post-nature, Anthropocene future”.
LOS ANGELES DESIGN FESTIVAL
20 – 23 June
Los Angeles, USA
The 9th edition of LA Design Festival will start again this June: the entire city will become the perfect stage to highlight its own rich design culture. The best from the national and international scene will offer its best, from architecture and experimental design to graphic, costume, and fashion. The perfect union between creativity and diversity in our June 2019 Best Design Events list.
SAN FRANCISCO DESIGN WEEK

San Francisco, USA
The SF Design Week is a week-long festival scattered all over the city that tries to put in contact design, creativity and inventiveness with a business and entrepreneurial mentality: it is no coincidence if the international event was born in the innovative Bay Area, whose approach fuelled the SF spirit.
10TH DESIGN TOKYO
26 – 28 June
Tokyo, Japan
If you are interested in the Japanese design market, Design Tokyo is the event made especially for you: as “Japan’s leading fair trade for “marketable” design product” only the very best from the design industry – previously screened by a committee – will be showcased at the event. Tokyo Big Sight, Tokyo International Exhibition Center is waiting for your presence this year!
DESIGN PARADE TOULON FESTIVAL
27 – 30 June
Toulon, France
Launched in the footsteps of its older brother – the festival in Hyères – the Design Parade Toulon is completely dedicated to interior design and it’s the first competition of its kind in France. Ancien Evêché will be the location of the competition between ten young designers displaying the best the new generation has come up with! The festival is the perfect place to share and connect with the interior design industry, and the exhibitions will be accessible until September! A wonderful opportunity of our June 2019 Best Design Events!
DESIGN PARADE HYÈRES
27 – 30 June
Hyères, France
Organized every year by villa Noailles, the Design Parade Hyères is the contemporary design showcase: decorative arts will shine with an artistic and decorative landscape as the Var region. A design competition will offer young professionals the perfect stage to get visibility and support from the industry community.
