Founded in 2007 by Leon Jakimic, Lasvit sheds a new light on Bohemian Glass and takes it into the next millennium with excellent lighting pieces. At Maison et Objet 2018, Lasvit presented their new lighting trends for the year 2018. Let’s explore them.
True to their style form, Lasvit combines the authenticity of glass with innovative technologies and creative craftsmanship. In a few short years, Lasvit has established themselves as the authority delivering bespoke lighting sculptures and art installations made from hand-blown glass.
They have been presenting collaborations with renowned designers and artists gave life to unique glass collections. No wonder one of Lasvit highlights at Maison et Objet 2018 is Fungo Chandelier, a stunning collaboration with famous designers The Campana Brothers.
And what about the Polygon? This piece was created in collaboration with Jan Plechac and Henry Wielgius. It’s the sublime result of the combination between the traditional shape of a hand-blown glass lampshade and the polygonal network often used in 3D modeling programs.
If you’re more into a German Style or Vybe, then check out the Das Pop Lamp. It was designed by Maarten Bass in collaboration with Lasvit. Emphasizing random shapes, the Das Pop lighting product combines the personal and non-industrial feel of this piece
Lastly, let us talk a little about the Hats Lamp. This lighting piece designed by Deform has an inspiration of the late Victorian bowler hat. Hats concept combines the demand for absolute practicality with a simplicity of design.
These lighting designs are stunning Maison et Objet 2018 and fully embodies what Lasvit is all about. We’re talking about a luxury lighting brand that will help you revamp your entire house!
