INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR SERIES
The famous Australian House & Garden International Seminar Series is coming back this 2019 with a new theme: “Global Village“. Technology and modern tools have made it possible to go farther than the physical borders and create different communities and realities, the same “Global Village” Marshall McLuhan was talking about. Led by Skye Rytenskild – in collaboration with Australian House & Garden magazine – the series will explore and dissect the main international and local influences on Australian design. From the European glamorous style of Steve Gordony and the whimsical description of Sibella Court‘s nomadic life to Australian textile brands Warwick Fabrics and Tigger Hall Studios that will explain how they managed to put their country’s essence into fabrics; influencers Megan Morton and Stephanie Stamatis (aka Stephanie Somebody) will give their expertise in online communities and how they can provide a useful inspiration for home projects. As International Keynote Speakers, globe-trotters Cortney and Robert Novogratz will explain how they created their huge fanbase. Don’t miss the 2020 Macro Design Trends Forecast by Uk Trend Futurists Scarlet Opus and her fabulous design vision.

This 2018 will mark the 16th anniversary of Australia’s longest running design competition, Vivid – Vibrant Visions in Design. Furniture, lighting and object designers will compete with each other to reach the first place trying to impose themselves as the new discoveries of Australia’s design industry.
