We have already talked about the huge event that is currently taking place in France, at Saint-Étienne. From March 21 to April 22, the entire city comes alive to celebrate design, arts, and architecture in all forms. This 11th edition will let the community take the central stage and show how it has integrated the design in a user-friendly concept. But the very best and innovative ideas will be displayed at the BIENNALE INTERNATIONALE DESIGN SAINT-ÉTIENNE 2019 BEST EXHIBITIONS. LA PLATINE – Place of experiences, living lab of Cité du design
La Platine will change its purpose to become a place of “experiences” where visitors can interact with and take part in the products’ design evolution. Discussions, encounters and workshop and much more will take place here: everyone will be part of the creative process, from discussions about recent design issues to experimentations on co-creation, thanks to the guidance of professionals.
La Platine has been divided into three specific zones: Discovery Area, where products will be dissected to reveal the design process that’s hidden behind their front; The Idea Workshop, where visitors and professionals can work together on the ideas and concepts of tomorrows with a resulting showcase of their products; Les Labos, is a special area where companies can directly obtain the costumers’ feedbacks thanks to the interactions with visitors. STEFANIA
“What will the city be like tomorrow?” That’s the central topic behind the Stefania exhibition designed by ESADSE students. Building a bridge between the East and the Ovest and thus creating a common ground where creativity and intentness is the issue studied by more than 30 French and foreign schools that have been working in close relations with China.
Students have started from the reality of China’s intense urbanization to recreate an inner-city – Stefania – at the Biennale Internationale: here one day means a year and the students will guide you through the evolutions of Stefania during the 30 days of the event. One of the most creative of our BIENNALE INTERNATIONALE DESIGN SAINT-ÉTIENNE 2019 BEST EXHIBITIONS.
CULINARY DESIGN – Marc Brétillot, Fabuleuse Cantine, City of Saint-Étienne
Are you ready for this culinary event? We couldn’t leave out the gastronomic event of the Biennale Internationale. Guest of honor will be the culinary designer Marc Brétillot, creator of unique culinary menus for the entire month of the event. But he will not be the only one: the Fabuleuse Cantine – an atypical restaurant of creative cuisine – will cater to every taste with its contemporary gastronomic creations. Enjoy!
