Kartell “Loves The Planet”, that is the name of a set of luxury collections to be presented during the awaited and exciting Maison Et Objet 2020. In the context of more careful, conscient and sustainable design, Kartell has created a set of furniture collections, in order to raise awareness of the environment and the concern for the planet Earth. Kartell is a Milan-based luxury brand with 70 years of experience and many incredible achievements throughout these 70 years full of history. Year after year, in events and collections they always present an innovative concept on actual events of the world, and 2020 is no different. With so much discussion, Kartell decided to create a set of collections based on the trendiest topic of all time: the world.

Kartell Loves The Planet is the name of this set of collections that represents the on-going conversation about the world and the environment. They divided the set into three categories: A.I., Smart Wood, and Bio. This set of dining chairs represent the A.I. sector, where every piece sits on a 100% recycled material, combining with generative design.

A step forward sustainability is the main goal that this brand desires to achieve, through the creation of also magnificent, innovative and aesthetic pieces. Smart Wood is a set of furniture pieces transformed with the most wonderful touch of wood. Kartell works with wood from certified forests, with minimum consumption of raw material for each structural component of the product.

A special patent makes sure that only a very fine layer of wood is used, molded to the take 3D curving to the very edge of the panel in two directions, horizontally and vertically, conveying three-dimensionality to the product and creating curves like never before. For the Smart Wood collection, Kartell has obtained FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council) certification.

Bio is one of the Milan-based brand’s new frontier, where their research has led to the creation of the first product to be made of a completely revolutionary and natural material. Created from waste materials from farm production procedures that do not enter into competition with food for humans or animals.
