Are you ready to pack some winter gear? The most sought-after event of Northern Europe is right behind the corner. What we are talking about? But the famous DESIGN MARCH REYKJAVIK 2019, of course!
Whether you are interested in design, fashion or architecture doesn’t matter, you will certainly find an event of your taste (they are over 100, not kidding!). This event is organized by the Iceland Design Center and this year will be the eleventh edition of the fortunate festival.
DESIGN MARCH REYKJAVIK 2019
The event will start on March 28 and it will last four days, till March 31. The festival will be engaged in organizing the dozens of events – seminars, discussions, and matches – and you will have the chance to meet not only local artists and designers but also international ones.

DESIGN TALKS 2019
This inspirational event will let your creativity run wild, thanks to international designers, architects, and leaders. This year motto is “The only way is up” about the challenge that design is facing right now and its possible contribution to our world. Hlín Helga Guðlaugsdóttir, the curator of DesignTalks, talked about the point behind the Design March opening event: “The speakers will inspire us all to do meaningful work, and to do what we can to save this planet and ourselves”. DESIGN DIPLOMACY X DENMARK
Enter the resident of ambassador Eva Egesborg Hansen with her three interior designer guests – Kasper Salto, Thomas Sigsgaard, and Ragna Sara Jónsdóttir – to participate in a design-based afternoon: the players involved will play a game of cards that will surely spark some interesting conversation. FORMEX NOVA
Formex Nova – The Nordic Design Award was established in 2011 and it is one of the main awards in the Nordic: its aim is to promote high-quality Nordic design and this year the mention goes to Madeleine Nelson for her work based on environmental sustainability.
