Design Miami 2019 is almost upon us! From December 3rd to December 8th, all the roads lead to the Miami Beach Convention Center. During these days, it will be displayed many of the world’s top galleries, that will display high-quality exhibitions within the twentieth and twenty-first-century furniture, lighting, and objects d’art. The galleries invited to exhibit in Design Miami deal mainly in exceptional design objects from the advent of Modernism (circa 1900) to the present day, with select galleries specializing in outstanding 18th and 19th-century antiques.
Friedman Benda Daniel Arsham
Friedman Benda presents a cutting-edge program exploring the most relevant movements in historical and contemporary design.
Tile Blush
Tile Blush is a Miami based gallery specializing in Contemporary Art and Design. Established in 2017, as a new concept reimagined from the remnants of Noguchi Breton, formerly VersaceVersaceVersace and GucciVuitton.
Carpenters Workshop Gallery
Carpenters Workshop Gallery, with spaces in London, New York, Paris, and San Francisco, transcends the classical borders of art and design, offering a precise symbiosis at the intersection of these two universes. Carpenters Workshop Gallery produces and exhibits functional sculpture by both established and international rising artists and designers who work outside traditional territories of expression. The gallery is actively involved in the research and production of limited-edition works found at the foreground of a process guided by emotional, artistic, and historical relevance.
Functional Art Gallery
Established by Benoît Wolfrom and Javier Peres in 2018, Functional Art Gallery is a Berlin-based gallery promoting young contemporary designers to an international audience. The gallery’s mission is to help shape the discussion between art and design and to further increase the presence of cutting-edge design within the larger art world. They work with artists and designers who push the line between aesthetics and purpose, form and function, perception and intent.
Galerie Patrick Seguin
Galerie Patrick Seguin showcases the talent of twentieth-century French designers, including Jean Prouvé, Charlotte Perriand, Pierre Jeanneret, Le Corbusier, and Jean Royère. For thirty years, Galerie Patrick Seguin has worked to promote Prouvé’s demountable houses. The gallery currently presents the largest collection of his houses and publishes a series of monographic books to accompany the exhibitions.
