Downtown Design is the region’s leading design trade fair for high-quality design, reflecting Dubai’s position as the design capital of the Middle East and a gateway to Asia and Africa. Adapting to new realities and current shifts, this year’s editions will present designers and creatives investigating themes related to the locality, collective work, future imagining, and sharing of public space under physical and mobility restrictions.

In light of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Downtown Design’s new format for 2020 will bring the industry together across digital and physical platforms, offering both design professionals as well as enthusiasts inspiration and insight to navigate the new design landscape.

Featuring a digital fair, a conceptual exhibition, a virtual talks program, and tailor-made physical brand experiences, the hybrid format will be presented across the entire duration of Dubai Design Week, 9 – 14 November 2020.

Featuring the latest collections from leading international and regional design brands, Downtown Design’s digital fair will offer both design professionals, as well as enthusiasts the opportunity to reconnect with the thriving contemporary design scene.

As technology intermediates the design industry, Downtown Design‘s acclaimed talks program will be presented virtually. Featuring regional and international experts, the panel discussions will spotlight the new value system that has evolved as a positive response to recent challenges.
