Luxurious House in Dubai, designed by Celia Sawyer, was conceived for the pleasure of a high-calibre VIP, whose brief was to create a dramatic statement reception area, with a masculine feel combined with some soft touches. A Dramatic and Statement Interior With the Most Exclusive Brands

Celia Sawyer, the interior designer behind this project, is the perfect example of a powerful and successful businesswoman, who is worldwide known for creating beautiful and luxurious designs with the best brands. When searching for inspiration for this project she crossed paths with Boca do Lobo and its partner brands, which pieces were perfect for a bold and empowered design.

Going back in time, Celia started her small interior design studio 25 years ago with residential projects. Nowadays, her type of projects has expanded and she designs not only homes but also superyachts, aviation, commercial properties, and projects in the leisure industry worldwide, becoming a mark in the design world.

Located in the amazing Dubai landscapes, the apartment interior design was conceived to pleasure a high-calibre VIP, whose brief was to create a dramatic statement reception area, with a masculine feel combined with some soft touches. The interior, covered in black and gold, perfectly combines the expected aesthetic of Dubai, the interior designer also used a lot of different accessories, textures, and lightboxes to show the client’s crystals. The mirrors in the reception, surrounding the piano, bring more space and light to the room.

“Lighting was very important and it needed to ooze luxury and glamour, the chandeliers and wall lights were to be our “star” pieces… works of art in themselves. I also mirrored the ceiling above the piano area so that the chandelier would reflect into it creating pools of light and drama.”

Illuminating the living area, the Emira Chandelier, by Luxxu, has a striking appearance being an eye-catching piece. The living room is a stunning scenario, with an exclusive atmosphere and being one of the star spaces of the project. Fitting this project like no other brand, Boca do Lobo brings one of its star pieces to this interior. Elevating this design to a whole new level, the Lapiaz Sideboard has two modules and combines functionality with beauty. This handcrafted piece, with touches of gold, is one of the central pieces in the decor.

Lapiaz Sideboard takes exceptional craftsmanship and design to a new realm. Its organic features are achieved through the manual fitting of polished brass, and a sharp finish in polished stainless steel that portrays a perfect mirror.

Different-shaped doors and drawers open to a distinct poplar root wood veneer interior.

The hammered gold details and the mirrored façade conveys both dynamics and elegance, a beautiful duality between power and refinement to bring a new contemporary verve into interior design.

With this project, Celia Sawyer not only created the client’s dream home but also put some touches on her own style, finding this balance perfectly.
