On June 10th don’t miss this presentation done by Robin Standefer speaking about the Familiar and Unusual, followed by a Q and A along with Stephen Alesch. Both are the founders of Roman and Williams Buildings and Interiors (New York) and have spent decades designing Hollywood sets, where they learned how to build different environments, every time following the story and building a narrative. That’s their projects’ aim: reject the corporate modernism view for a more specific and singular vision.
STUF MATTERS: THE MATERIAL WORLD WE MAKE
Join designer, academic and creative director Ilsa Crawford, founder of Studioilse (London) for her NeoCon exhibition on June 11th about human needs and desires and how they can influence and be influenced by design. Her focus would be trying to answer the very important questions that today brands can’t really do anymore, i.e. creating environments that recreate a natural way of living, respecting the basic human needs, and making people more aware of what surrounds them.
