This design event is one of the most renowned platforms in the city, capable of attracting thousands of visitors with hundreds of events scattered in every corner of the five boroughs of NYC. Every year, a celebration of everything that revolves around design takes place here with attendee coming from all over the world to participate in exhibitions, interactive experiences, tradeshows, workshops, panels, discussions, and installations. It is an event so big that it has satellite events, such as WantedDesign – organized in a double edition in Brooklyn and in Manhattan – and an amazing chance to discover new design trends and ideas. WHEN & WHERE
The event – arrived at the 7th edition – will be scattered all over NYC from May 10th to 22nd. During this period of time the entire city’s design community, composed of over 53,000 designers, 8,000 design firms, more than 800 galleries, and museums and 10 architecture and design school, will come alive and take advantage of the amazing opportunity the platform provides every year.

10 CORSO COMO
The 10 Corso Como Restaurant & Café offers a Mediterranean menu based on the simplicity of the Italian cuisine: chef Jordan Frosolone will prepare sophisticated dishes in addition to a wide wine and cocktail program (more than 100 Italian, French and local wines from boutique vineyards). The atmosphere – with the contribution of designer and American artist Kris Ruhs – is certainly a plus.
CECCONI’S DUMBO
If a brunch or an aperitivo is your way to go, you can’t miss Cecconi’s Dumbo: an Italian restaurant famous for his handmade pasta, wood-fired pizzas, and cicchetti this is the perfect location to decompress and relax after an intense morning or afternoon. Check it out!
LAST LIGHT AT SISTER CITY
On the 11th floor of Sister City, Last Light is a neighborhood bar that offers an amazing view of New York from its indoor and outdoor seating. Come here to decompress at the end of a hectic day and Beverage Director Josh Hanover will provide you with out-of-the-world happy hour choices.
NYCXDESIGN AWARDS
Presented by Interior Design and ICFF, NYCXDESIGN Awards features a global design competition – with a jury of design industry leaders overviewing the process – open to every one of the design world participating at the NYC event after having submitted their applications. Winners and honorees will be awarded in a ceremony on May 20 followed by the ICFF Party with live entertainment.
ZAHA HADID DESIGN POP UP
In association with the store located at 10 Corso Como in New York, Zaha Hadid will offer to the viewers an installation to present the ZHD collection’s design objects. With a height of 3 meters, the installations will propose the 10 Corso Como logo through ZHD’s eyes and style. Sinuous floor and wall graphics only give to emphasis the showcase.
