[wp_ad_camp_2]

Are you ready to come back to the city of love? Feelings will be inspired when you will find yourself in the amazing international atmosphere the Révélations event will create. Not only the setting is one of the most inspiring one (Paris, anyone?) with the characteristic boulevard and the historical district along the Seine, but also the International Fine Craft & Creation Biennial will be the landmark of the month and the perfect opportunity to participate in the celebration of craftsmanship in all its glory. As the focus of the conversation is the maximum authority in the field, creators, that will engage and start a valid dialogue about fine crafts and what does it mean creation as an artistic process capable of inspiring everyone. Ateliers d’Art de France, behind the Biennial project, manages to increase the wide-spreading reach of the event every year: from collectors, designers and architects to gallery owners and luxury good houses – without missing the general public – everyone has been invited to take part and express himself, contributing to the creative conversation. THE BANQUET

Révélations 2019 Event Guide

The Banquet pays homage to diversity and dialogue between cultures”.

This central sector of Révélation will appear as an international treasure, where the value of creation as a valid connection between countries will be emphasized by the universality of the vision. Each nation will occupy its own exhibitive space, made of islets in the form of archipelagos; this way, they will accentuate their personal message by conveying a specific identity image. A wholesome experience of our Révélation 2019 event guide.

NUANCES IN BLUE AND BLACK – HANNE FRIIS

Révélations 2019 Event Guide

The art installation by Norwegian artist Hanne Friis is an enormous sculpture of several meters made of hundreds and hundreds of jeans, carefully sewn together to recreate a compact structure showing undulating energies. Nuances in blue and black installation is a part of the bigger exhibition Vi lever på en stjerne (We Are Living on a Star) at Henie Onstad Kunstsenter in 2014 about the 2011 terroristic attack in which 76 people were killed, 68 of them were young people. The decision to utilize jeans – the most common and most seen fabric among youngster – is a clear reference to those who lost their lives in the attack. “The blue colours represent spiritual dimensions, hope and humanism, whereas the dark nuances stand for the destructive powers within us”.
