ROMANCING THE STONE BY CHEN CHEN & KAI WILLIAMS
Casa Perfect – a nomadic experience that brings American and international artists and designers in various locations – envisions the kind of aesthetic that matches more closely the “the Future Perfect” of its creator. “Romancing the stone” is the new exhibition that you can find at the NYC showroom, where artists Chen Chen & Kai Williams have decided to put emphasis on the natural way stone – found at quarry excavation – let itself shine through new and unusual settings. “We wanted to show the myriad of ways that the material could be used from the gravity of the tables to the lightness and transparency of the lights.”

DESIGN PAVILION
Among the cultural and artistic choices of the Design Pavilion 2019 some of them stand out for their sheer originality and impact on people: Tiny House is a – as its name says – a tiny home made from recycled materials by Fernando Mastrangelo, a sculpture put in the middle of Times Square. Glass and plastic had been used to build the 175 sqft footprint mini home; the aim is to offer an interactive exhibition capable of instilling the seed of the design’s future, taking into account the world’s ecological future as well.
