After a long tradition, Yecla Furniture Fair was established in 1961 and has been a success ever since. WHEN & WHERE
Like every year the furniture fair will take place at the Feria del Mueble Yecla, the fair location built in 1968, from May 7th to 10th. Four countries are the main contributors to the design event – Spain, Germany, Portugal, and Brazil – while 120 exhibitors will converge in the 17’000 m2 of the building to offer a display of craftsmanship and finest capabilities in their field.
This year will be the 100th anniversary of the creation of the Bauhaus by founder Walter Gropius. So, this edition of the furniture fair will celebrate the famous art school with a giant logo – decorated with the typical Bauhaus colors – and a collage of carpets to recreate a game of symmetries and colors that will guide the access to a commemorative exhibition: here documents will tell retrace the story of Yecla Furniture Fair from the origin, creating a parallel with another pioneer of the sector, The Bauhaus art school.
