‘To mark the 40th edition of Decorex International we brought together our friends – old and new – at Syon House to celebrate the past, present and future of design.’
Decorex International is synonymous with luxury, being widely known as being the only UK design event that discovers the finest coveted products from an impressive collection of 400 hand-selected exhibitors.

On the first day, the talks will start with ‘Making a lasting impression with design’, held by Ella Jade (Ella Jade Interiors) and Andy Sarson (Technical and Development Manager-Incrusta). The topic will be focused on how to use texture and lighting in order to create moods within interior spaces.
Nowadays the luxury sector is in continuous change in order to keep up with the millennials. On 18th of September, Afroditi Krassa will be the speaker for ‘Designing for the Millennial’. She will approach the social media topic, and how all the experiences of the new generation are related to the social media networks.

For 19th of Septemember, Anna Burles (interior designer), Charles Leon (owner at Leon Black), Polly Williams (founder Camberyard) and Freddy van Zesevenbergen (interior designer at Lambart&Browne) will talk about ‘Modelling a business for design: what you need to know’. They will discuss about the challenges of running a project-based design companies and about the concept of ‘creativity-on-demand’.
On the last day, 20th of September, Polly Leonard (Selvedge magazine), Ptolemy Mann (Textile designer Ptolemy Mann) , Margo Selby (Owner of Margo Selby Studio) , Emma Sewell (Textile designer at Wallace Sewell), Harriet Wallace-Jones (Textile designer at Wallace Sewell) will talk about how to maintain a successful and sustainable craft practice today.
