Last week, London hosted one more successful edition of the Sleep Event, one of the main hospitality and interior design events of the year.
More than 190 exhibitors were at the show to display their products and services, including high-profile brands like Chelsom, Ligne Roset, Parla or Morgan Furnitures. All of the brands present showcased all of their new and most successful hospitality options for the future and, with no surprise, comfort, elegance, and creativity were the trends amongst most of the brands present.
This line of quality thinking was present at one of the highlights of any edition of this event, the Sleep Set. This year, the brief for designers in the competition was Loyalty: Lessons in Love. The challenge was to create and disrupt an experience so memorable that loyalty becomes love. The competition was won by Stonehill Taylor, but MKV Design, il Prisma and 1508 London all took up the challenge and created some stunning concepts.
The same idea of comfort present throughout the event was also showcased at the 2017 Sleeper Bar that was designed by Olga and Irina Sundukovy, the founders of the Moscow-based practice Sundukovy Sisters studio. It was a great piece of design that showcased the best style of Eastern Europe’s design.
In conclusion, the Sleep Event was, once again, a success. The 2018 edition it’s confirmed and we are all hoping that is just as successful and creative as this year’s edition.
