Many retailers consider the High Point Furniture Market their version of “Fashion Week.” As the largest furniture trade show in the world, the biannual market represents furniture from around the world.
High Point Market (october 17-22) presents thousands of interior decoration ideas and design lovers. Featuring an extensive selection of exhibitors spanning every category, style, and price point, and attracting tens of thousands of visitors from more than 100 countries, the High Point Market is the driving force of the home furnishings industry.
“We have over 100 different countries represented,” Ashley Grigg, High Point Market Authority Communications Manager, said. “So we really get a full picture of what furniture is looking like right now.”
The market is not open to the public. However, furniture at the market will be available in stores in the next few months.
A Duke University study found the overall regional economic impact of the bi-annual market is approximately $5.39 billion. This figure includes visitor spending within a 75-mile radius of High Point, the High Point Market Authority’s spending, vendor spending, furniture sales and rental expenses from vendors to local businesses.
High Point Market is one of the main events of the furniture sector. It gathers hundreds of exhibitors coming from all around the globe. We can quote as references Christophe Guy, Demorais International or Cattelan Italia.
