Designjunction: New Launches From UK and International Brands – A stellar line-up of international brands and 100s of new product launches.
Cubitt House, event’s main trade destination, will feature furniture and accessories from more than 100 international design brands, as well as the best of contemporary lighting in a dedicated area, lightjunction. The exhibition will take place in Lewis Cubitt Square, inside a custom, two-storey pavilion with a spectacular facade designed by London-based Satellite Architects which features over 4,000 lightweight GRID modules introduced to the UK by Icons of Denmark. String Furniture
Certain things become so strongly associated with an era that they become timeless. this is certainly true of Nils Strinning’s shelf system, String, which was designed in 1949. it may seem strange that something as simple and humble as this little dainty light shelf with its thin side panels has become one of the twentieth century’s foremost design icons.
