Taking place from November 30th to December 4th, Design Miami 2016 will be an authentic marketplace for collectible design. A place where the most reputable international design galleries will present curated exhibitions of museum-quality furniture, lighting and objets d’art, attracting the highest level of private and public collectors of historical and contemporary design.

Each fair brings together the most influential collectors, gallerists, designers, curators and critics from around the world in celebration of design, culture and commerce. The galleries invited to exhibit in Design Miami deal mainly in exceptional design objects from the advent of Modernism (circa 1900) to the present day, with select galleries specializing in outstanding 18th and 19th century antiques.
1 – Southern Guild
What makes us love Southern Guild so much is their unique taste for African art, propelling its artist-designers to make spirited, challenging and complex work. Its highly curated exhibitions have redefined global perceptions of African design and escalated its value on the international market. All products are made by skilled hands in limited runs, and sometimes only one of an item will ever be made. It was founded in 2008 and became the first African Gallery to present at Design Miami.
“South African design elicits an emotional response as
much as it invites you to think.”
