ICFF 2017 will take place at Javits Center from May 21st to 24th, for a curated design exhibition with the world’s top designers and brands, and that’s definitely something you don’t want to miss. While you’re in town, make sure to visit these places as well for an incredible experience.
1 – Design Within Reach
Address: 957 Third Ave. (at E. 57th Street), New York, NY 10022
Design Within Reach was founded in 1998 to turn modern design into something accessible. At the time, designers needed to visit Europe or work with intermediaries to access the latest items in the industry, and they wanted to change that by simply making innovative works from iconic designers reachable for the first time. Great idea by the way.
Design Within Reach is located in several areas in New York City and is usually open from 10 am to 7-pm from Monday to Saturday and 12pm to 6pm on Sundays. If you’re literally looking for innovative furnishings, this is the place you will want to go.
2 – Porcelanosa Showroom
Address: 202 5th Ave, New York, NY 10010, USA
PORCELANOSA is spread throughout the world, marking its presence in over 400 stores. Cities like New York, London, Paris and Milan are lucky enough to have one of brand’s showrooms showcasing ongoing developments in the innovation and design of all its products.
If you have a new interior design project coming up you might want to keep this flagship store in the agenda.
3 – Bouley Restaurant
Address: 163 Duane St, NYC
Any travel needs great cuisine. The Bouley restaurant is usually celebrated for its French approach to purity and integrity where guests can enjoy from a curated menu selected and arranged by Chef David Bouley. The place itself is something to admire.
4 – Broadway theatre
Address: 1681 Broadway, New York, NY 10019, USA
The Broadway theatre is one of the few legitimate theaters that were originally built as a movie house. Its seating capacity of 1765 made it ideal for the changeover to musical theater in 1930. Today is considered to be one of the biggest and most influential theaters in the world.
