According to Scott Eckman, the Summer edition of Las Vegas Market 2017 aims to respond to outdoor living demands
Last month, Las Vegas Market 2017 announced that this year’s edition will gather more than 180 exhibitors for the casual and outdoor furniture category. Taking place from July 30 to August 3, visitors will be able to experience a wide range of garden and outdoor accessories as well as two educational sessions on these category trends and materials.
According to Scott Eckman the goal for this Summer edition was to respond to consumer’s demands for outdoor living, offering more casual and outdoor resources than the previous editions. “In recognition of the growing importance of this category for our audience, we are extending our offerings to include category information and education, through a new partnership with Casual Living.”
Since the launch of C12 and C13, two years ago, these two floors will be dedicated to everything that is trending in the casual and outdoor furnishings, featuring a wide range of products and accessories that go from furniture to umbrellas to rugs to outdoor fireplaces.
The outdoor and casual furniture category has been growing and has expended to at least 30 more showrooms on which temporary exhibits will be concentrated in the 250,000-square-feet floors. A few of the permanent showrooms include Agio, Ebel and Skyline Designs, while temporary exhibitors feature brands such as Somers Furniture, Pride Casual and Lagoon.

To support the casual/outdoor category a little bit more a partnership between Las Vegas Market and the Casual Living magazine will offer two educational seminars at the Summer Market: “Trends of 2017,” and “Casual Living Master Class: Performance Materials” – the first one taking place on Sunday, July 30 and the other on Monday, July 31.
A new hospitality lounge will also be available in C1340 for casual/outdoor furniture buyers. Club Casual will feature daily breakfast and lunch, comfortable seating, refreshing smoothies and beverages, music, wi-fi, televisions and massage stations. An industry networking event will take place in the lounge Sunday evening, July 30, 5:00-7:00pm.
