What’s On to See at Downtown Design Dubai 2016 – A selection on the best exhibitors on stand.
Downtown Design, the Middle East’s platform for original design, will open its doors for the fourth time from 25 – 28 October 2016 to give quality-driven brands access to the rapidly growing market of the gulf region. Exhibitor segments include furniture, lighting, kitchens, bathrooms, carpets and flooring, wall coverings, accessories and new technologies. Find our best picks for this year’s edition, with a selection of brands with a tendency for minimalism and neutral use of colors.
De Castelli
Founded in 2003 by Albino Celato, it has handed down the legacy of Celato family across generations of skilled blacksmiths and masters in the art of ironwork. They work with the most noble materials like brass and copper, blended with the sophisticated crafting skills inherited from the family tradition and the use of today’s most cutting-edge technology. As a luxury brand, they constantly work with international renowned architects and designers, exceeding the potential of the pieces they produce.
“Pensando ad Acapulco”, project by Ivdesign, works on the concept of identification: the archetype of the conical chair in the historical memory (the Acapulco Chair or some projects of the 50s).

Kristalia
The company was established in 1994 by young entrepreneurs from Friuli who share two great passions: design and jazz. From the outset, Kristalia has given special attention to innovative design projects through experimentation and searching for new technical solutions, using materials borrowed from the fields of fashion and sport. In the late 90’s, the company began to pursue a different path, being specially attentive to the aesthetic and qualitative characteristics of Italian Design.
