Art Deco Apartment by designer Yana Molodykh was inspired by “Sex and the City” and features Lighting by the Portuguese Brand DelightFull
Interior Designer Yana Molodykh is extremely successful in the world of exclusive design and interiors. Graduated in the prestigious ‘Detail’ Studio School, Yana continues to learn from nature and art to deliver the most unique designs for residences, offices, restaurants as well as boutique hotels.
For that reason it was only normal that she was selected for the project Fountain Boulevard by request of a young cosmopolitan couple that wished to buy their first home together in the beautiful town of Kiev. Her vision for Fountain Boulevard was simple, an apartment that resembled that of Carrie Bradshaw and Big in ‘Sex and The City’ with strong Art Deco influences.
To open up the small apartment, Molodykh included large panoramic windows that filled the interior with daylight and access to the beautiful views of Kiev. The designer also took advantage of the space creating a studio space where the living room, dining room and kitchen coexist. The basic interior design includes grey walls, geometric patterns in the floor and furniture evoking Art Deco Style.
The reflection game is strong in this Art Deco Apartment, displayed with elegant surfaces and mirrors. Also in the living room is the iconic painting ‘Dancefloor’ by famous Ukrainian artist Tatyana Malinovskaya. It reflects perfectly the exuberant character of the apartment owner, a young woman who loves and knows how to attract attention.

Apart from natural lighting, the designer opt out for a mid century floor lamp by the portuguese brand DelightFull to add some personality to the space and highlight the best features of the entire interior design. The floor lamp she selected is called Stanley and is made from brass and aluminium.
The soft shift from a darker shade of grey on the walls into a lighter shade of the cornice, ceiling, and window slopes make a color composition of a living room more difficult and adds a magical glow” says Yana Molodykh.
Yana Molodykh works hard to create a strong relationship and a mutual understanding with the client to create a story, meaning that although her “signature” is airy interiors with delicate colors, textiles and details, the result of this Art Deco apartment was built upon the client’s wishes.
